The Children’s Safety Guide promotes child welfare and development and features crucial child safety tips and directories, including after school programs; child welfare organizations; child service organizations and clubs; food banks and meal programs; government funded daycare, summer and day camps; government programs and assistance; school breakfast programs, and more.

Central to our mission is generating awareness and funds for local charities that help children in our community. Our Eastern Ontario edition supports organizations like CityKidz Ottawa, The Door Youth Centre, and several others in the Ottawa Valley and Seaway Valley. Through compelling storytelling and informative content, we engage supporters and shine a light on critical issues.

Despite Canada having some of the best economic, environmental, and social conditions for growing up, it faces some of the poorest outcomes for children and youth. UNICEF’s 16th report card ranks Canada 30th out of 38 industrial countries in child welfare. This stark reality fuels our dedication to improving the lives of children and ensuring their safety and well-being.
